Hello

I’m glad you’re here. I’m a veteran, social worker, and therapist who believes therapy should be a space where you can be honest, feel understood, and maybe even laugh a little along the way.

Everyone has a story. I’m here to help you make sense of yours.

My Story

My path to becoming a therapist was probably not the most direct route—and, honestly, I think that is part of what makes it meaningful.

I’m a veteran, and after leaving the military, I knew I wanted to continue supporting service members and others who understood the unique culture that comes with military life. Before becoming an LCSW, I spent about ten years traveling throughout Europe and the United States. Along the way, I had the opportunity to experience different cultures, communities, and ways of life, while volunteering with nonprofits and community organizations.

Those experiences taught me that there is rarely one way to understand a person's story. Our experiences, cultures, families, communities, and environments all shape how we see ourselves and the world around us. Traveling and volunteering gave me the opportunity to listen to people with perspectives very different from my own and reminded me of the importance of meeting people where they are.

Becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker was the next step in that journey. It allowed me to bring together my experiences, my connection to military culture, and my desire to support others with the clinical training needed to help people navigate some of life's more complicated moments.

My connection to the military is an important part of my story, but it is not the only story I understand. People come to therapy for many different reasons—relationships, life transitions, emotional challenges, feeling stuck, or simply realizing that something needs to change.

I believe therapy should be a space where you can show up as yourself, talk honestly about what is happening, and not feel like you need to have everything figured out before you walk through the door. Therapy is serious work, but I also believe there should be room for humor, because life is complicated enough without having to be serious every minute of the day.

Ultimately, my goal is to create a space where you feel supported, understood, and respected as the person you are—not as a diagnosis, a label, or a set of problems to solve.
